I wouldn't use anything other than honda. What i meant was don't waste your money trying to find "better" ones

Upgraded spark plugs on a petrol can be beneficial but as glow plugs are used just to start for diesels I wouldn't waste your money(if you can even get uprated glow plugs)

Brilliant I'm glad somebody else has tried it! Did you break the clutch down or just cover it in brake cleaner? Ye I looked at removing the ECU but I got quite good at unplugging the cables in the end!

Give it a good pull and wobble the base up and down. They all do it mate

Would it be best to take it as far as possible before the limiter on the first gear change then?

Nope never seen another on road would be interesting to know how many where actually made/sold in the uk

I'm not getting any wheel spin at 4k to be honest but I'll definately give it a go and try changing at 7k instead Thanks

I'm not sure how it ever got near 7.7 seconds. I've found holding at 4k to be the quickest. From no revs then setting off is mid 10s if I recall correctly. I might have a look at valve clearances next weekend

I don't know for sure. I bought the car with 110k miles and had it serviced but I can't find any record of valve clearances.
