    atr recaros

Pretty sure the ATR recaros are in the CL9 Euro R so should be a straightforward job.

    It's official, you CAN remap a 2003 Accod 2.4 Type S!

Time is money to those guys and so are dyno runs. When you are talking about 15 bhp overall I wasn't concerned enough about the relative benefits to want to pony up another 50 - 100 quid. I imagine the K&N would give about 5 bhp on its own but the graph would have the same shape, ie dip in...

    It's official, you CAN remap a 2003 Accod 2.4 Type S!

I think the 2.0 probably can be done, Ryan said that the 2003 Type S ECU and 2.0 ECU circuit layouts are very similar. If you give him a call i'm sure he can help you - 02825 630041. Only thing is he will probably need the ECU serial number to send to Piasini to confirm but check this out with...

    It's official, you CAN remap a 2003 Accod 2.4 Type S!

They just use a Piasini Engineering tuning tool, so any other tuning companies that use the same thing around the UK (eg XO Tuning) should be able to do it. If there is one here in NI there are bound to be plenty about in GB.

    It's official, you CAN remap a 2003 Accod 2.4 Type S!

So I went up to Auto Tune in Ballymena (30 miles north of Belfast) today hoping to get the ECU remapped and K&N inductionkit fitted. Also had a K&N oil filter and oil change done at the same time. FIrst things first, big thanks to Ryan at Auto Tune, he works away with no drama and is very easy...

Will these wheels suitable for cl7 accord?

The answer is a lot. Probably 3 - 4 cm more than std 17 inch pentas. Could cause all sorts of handling / tyre wear problems, will be illegal and may look a bit naff. 9 inches is very wide, the tyres will be expensive... Google offset calculator, there are lots of free ones out there and you...

    Facelift ECU in pre-facelift?

The idea of buying a second hand SC from a Merc, ripping out the aircon and bolting it in doesn't fill me with confidence that it would work reliably with the stock internals. I would rather use a kit that has been tried and tested specifically for the Accord. As far as I know the Honda ECU...

    Facelift ECU in pre-facelift?

My car is booked in on15th November to be remapped, so will let you all know if they are actually able to do it or not. Just to confirm my ECU looks like that in the other 2003 model Accords, but not sure of the exact serial number. On s side note, I looked in to supercharging the Type S. It...

Mugen rear spoiler LOOKS like EVo.

I think the spoiler on its own would clash with the subtle std Type S bodykit. Better to go all out for the whole Mugen kit to get the full effect. However, I think this only works if you are also tuning the car etc to create an overall impressive package - the white Euro R in the picture...

    Facelift ECU in pre-facelift?

Auto Tune took the ECU out of my 2003 Accord Type S and emailed the serial number on the chip to Piasini. They confirmed that it could be remapped. That's all I know. I can't see how it would be a 2005 ECU as the car is completely standard and this hasn't been replaced to my knowledge. I...

    Alloys

To the author, I would recommend 17 inch alloys over 16s as I think even the 17s are borderline too small for the arches. The std penta alloys are very nice and there are a few for sale on Ebay at present. Depending on what you are looking for, I think the ultimate fit for the Accord is a set...

    Facelift ECU in pre-facelift?

The pre-facelift can be remapped, no question about it. I spoke to Gunther at XO Power about my 2003 Type S and he said it can be done and he has done it. As I am in Northern Ireland I checked around the tuners here and found one that can to it - Auto Tune in Ballymena. They took out the ECU...

    Any views on these mods?

Thanks for the link to the ECU modifying thread. Does anyone know if XO are the only company that can do this or if it is a relatively common type of tuning? Just wondering if there is any chance of someone in NI being able to do this for my 2003 Accord. Regarding the DC sprots manifold, if I...

Just dropped you a message m8. Back on topic, is it fair to say I can't run a sports cat if I can't get the car re-mapped? Don't see the point in aftermarket manifold or cat-back exhaust if I can't have a sports cat as I reckon this is where most of the gains are to be had...

Hi folks, Recently put a deposit down on a K24 Type S and want to squeeze a few more horses out of it as soon as I get it. I have always liked getting a bit more performace out of my cars so that they are a bit quicker than people expect! However, I don't want to do anything drastic as it is...
