They usually get clogged up the gunk that's was causes them not to take up the tension any longer, it just makes sense to change it whilst the chain is off.

Surely you would replace the tensioners too? They are a vital part of the system.

Ok this has now turned into an intermittent fault, could someone point me to the location of the parking sensor speaker in the boot area? I'm ***uming it's now a loose/poor connection.

Good morning all, My first post on the forum, I bought a 2004 2.2 diesel saloon on Friday afternoon. It's a lovely motor apart from a few niggles I'm trying to work through. When I engage reverse gear I get a beep for around 2-3 seconds, then a pause then the same beep for 2-3 seconds again...
