Just a heads up for anyone searching for this in the future, new camera from a breaker sorted it out.

If the oil pressure light came on and you didn't kill the engine within a few seconds it's toast. Given that you said you drove it home with no oil pressure, that engine is beyond a rebuild. Look into getting a replacement engine swapped in or scrap/part out the car and get another one.

Facelift has xenon units but you'll also need the facelifted bumper and grille iirc.

Only applies to lights emitting a beam IIRC.

Ripped the boot lit apart, disconnected the camera, checked for any signs of damage to the wiring, nothing... Reconnected the camera and the image was still distorted. Angrily slammed the boot lid and - you guessed it - camera stopped working altogether. FFS.

Navi is fine, quickly ran through the colour calibration screens, nothing is out of the ordinary. Just the backup camera signal. Guess I'll be looking at another one from breakers...

Out of the blue this happened... anybody got any clue whether the camera itself decided to give up on life, wiring loom issue or something else? Diagnostics menu in the satnav states the connection is OK.

I must be the only person who actually likes the stock infotainment system lol. My only gripe with it is the stock head unit turning down bass at high volume which is pretty damn annoying if you listen to rock or metal but that can be fixed relatively easily with a custom EQ preset on your...

The "mist" might be oil leaking onto exhaust manifold and burning off. Happened to me a couple of times after taking the cover off and forgetting to wipe any spillages. It's not a hard fix but make sure it's sorted out since it's a potential fire hazard.

My 8th does the same even after full laser alignment, might be subframe shift but I haven't dug deeper. Rocker cover gaskets like to leak regardless of engine especially at this age so imo nothing to worry about. Not sure about 2.0s but the 6mt has an issue with inner CV joints wearing out...

Take a tape measure and check how much room you have between the tire and bodywork at the top of the arch and that will give you an idea of what offset will fit.
