i could hardly hear the chuffing as i expected it to be the downpipe, as for the clamp i can get it drilled locally. im going to honda tomorrow to get new clamp and copper washers both injectors came out with out a problem. hope this cheap fix will do the job

do you think replacing the copper washers might be an option as i know with time the copper gets hard and will not compress to get a good seal. i have tried to heat them and dunk them in water to soften them but it had no affect. also i need a new clamp as the one with the 10mm bolt is in two pieces

after another inspection injector 1 and 2 are both letting gasses escape and now the engine light is on. i cannot afford to get the car to honda to fix this problem so the car will have to sit on the drive till probably forever. the only way round this i can see is to completely change the head...

yeah there is diesel on the floor and you can smell it. i have a feeling i might also have a cracked manifold as i have looked on this site and found that it is common, has a strange 'put put' sound but it is hard to hear. i have had loads of diesels before i know when they get worn i used to...

the light does the same wether the car is hot or cold. if the glow plugs are controlled by a termostat then i would change that but as i dont know if it has a seperate one just for the plugs i have to start with changing the glow plugs, the car makes no difference weather i use the accelerator...
