Rattling / Grinding noise and low idle

I did try everywhere after the throttle body with the spray. There was no sign of any change. Actually that was the reason I sprayed directly into intake hose to see engine reaction. So at least I was expecting to see a quick response on RPM. As I didn't see it, in fact engine stopped, now I...

Rattling / Grinding noise and low idle

I have just checked the engine. Accelerator pedal is just a simple mechanism, connected by a metal wire to a black box in the engine bay, where I see an electric socket also connected to the same box. Which means sensor is inside that box. I just bought a carburetor cleaner. Took out the...

Rattling / Grinding noise and low idle

It is 2.0 petrol K20Z2 engine. Actually what I noticed yesterday about accelerator pedal is, look like there is no direct control of engine. When engine is on idle, I pressed the pedal by hand to understand better, and small touch is either respond on engine a lot or nothing. I read somewhere...

Rattling / Grinding noise and low idle

Other thing I want to ask, or maybe it's late to ask, as far as I see, mechanic didn't use any special cleaner for that. I saw him using WD40 in his hand. I think this is all he used. Do u think he might damage the Throttle Body?

Rattling / Grinding noise and low idle

UPDATE : Water pump has been changed and there is no more grinding noise. I didn't buy original one, Honda garage said £120, I bought Blue Print. Engine idle low RPM is still there, 500RPM. Local garage cleaned the throttle body, with brand new original gasket back to the engine. Still low RPM...

    stereo wiring diagram

I don't have such diagram, but you can take the door card out and if you lucky you can see same colour cables in the back of stereo, or you can use multimeter to find out. For the starting cable of amp, I think you can use ignition, as any output from stereo might be weak. By the way, I don't...

    cigarette lighter fuse blowing

Well, clearly there is a short circuit somewhere. First place I would look is cigarette lighter socket, you can take it out, disconnect, and put another fuse and have a look. Maybe you will something on visual check anyway.

    Cold starting issue 2.2 cdti

Maybe your glow plugs don't get power. You can check glow plug relay (I am not mechanic but probably there should be a relay for this) . Or you can use a light bulb to connect to plugs to see any power before the cranking. Sent from my HTC One A9 using Tapatalk

Nope, have no idea about motor ombudsman. Are you talking about https://www.themotorombudsman.org/ ? Do you mean they step in if we have a problem with the registered mechanics ?

My mechanic wouldn't mind a DVR at all, he break the things while I watch him. Finding a good/reliable mechanic is a problem. Yep I found it...

Rattling / Grinding noise and low idle

Yes I will go to him back and ask that. Seems thats the best way. When he removed the belt, he manually turned the water pump pulley and also looked for if the pulley bearing is not as it should be. It was looking OK actually. I saw on you tube about this long screwdriver as well. Where to...
