since my last post 04.01.2012 i have changed the fuel filter for a genuine bosch and after three weeks and much finger crossing my problems seem to be cured! Prior to this i had faulty injectors sorted (all under fueling and caused it to stall when hesitating at 3000rpm) and now after 6 months...

I welded mine 2 weeks ago and so far so good, i used a normal mig welder as the manifold appeared to be steel and had been welded during the original manufacturing process. hope this helps

It looks like the part number is same as was on my tourer i am told its made by Blue Print who make many OE parts for jap cars, however i'm having similar problems and will be trying genuine bosch filter in next couple of days. Hope this is helpful
