You will find lots of people have tried to hack the Honda SatNav to disable this but not many have had any success. Those that have succeeded have had to hack the actual software then rebuld it and reinstall. Really a huge amount of very technical hassle for very little return.

What database and software version do you have? If I read this properly then my database is actually 2008 and a half rather than a 2010. I have noticed it takes much longer for the OK button to show on startup, can't say I've noticed any other differences.

My nearside is very wet so could I put in a silica gel pack to get rid of the worst and then replace it to keep it dry. Can someone tell me how I can put the gel bag in. Could I put it in on a thread so I could remove it easily. Mine is an exec with HID, not sure if it makes any difference...
