    Fuel consumption

Agreed - and that's exactly what my stint was: a single trip and 90% of it fully warmed up. A cold start, drive 200m to filling station. Then 1.5 hrs on the A12, 15 mins in town, 15 min stopped while collecting stuff, 1.5hrs on A12, 15 mins in town. Then park overnight. Start cold next day...

    Fuel consumption

Late to this thread, but have just done my first brim-to-brim (also on a 2.0 SOHC 6g Accord auto): bang on 30mpg. That's over half a tank, mostly a single A12 trip driving at 65-75mph, plus perhaps 10 miles of town driving at each end. And with no AC and no booting it. I also think it's pretty...

    Cleaning EGR plate.

Can't seem to find it. Just searched for EGR (too short to be found by the forum software) and then looked through saj's content, and still couldn't find it. Any clues? Might it have been on the old forum?

    Touch-up paints

Thanks for teh extra info and P4U suggestion. Will take some before/after pix to show just how well it goes.

    Cleaning EGR plate.

Thanks, CJ - will go looking for it. And try and do it before Winter really sets in...

    Cleaning EGR plate.

Nice write up. Excellent use of the word 'thingy' :) Is this also recommended - or not required - on the F20B6? (The 2.0 SOHC engine of the same era)

    Touch-up paints

That's a good point - red does fade with sun exposure. Wonder if this red (which it seems is called 'Sicilian Red') is the same? Can't see any obvious fade - will compare with the door shuts. I've just seen Ebayers selling touch up kits in this colour, so I might take a punt at the cheapest (=...

    Touch-up paints

The 6g Executive I have has a few slight bumper scrapes and stone chips that I want to tidy up (as best as I can without going to the expense of paint shop costs). It's the mid-red metallic colour, code is R500P according to the service book. Anyone know if I can buy this at Honda (off the...

    Slight vibration at idle

Thanks chaps. Done some more checking on today's drive back from GF's: * at cold the engine idles at just over the 500rpm mark * when warm, idle revs drop to just under the 500rpm mark, and there's the vibration I mentioned that is felt at standstill. If I put it into Neutral, there's still...

    Slight vibration at idle

Thanks - yes, when it's in Drive (will check for a difference when it's in Neutral). The vibration seems more pronounced than in most autos I've had - including an '03 1.6 Civic.

    Scangauge II Review

Nice write up. One Q: anyone know if a '99 6gen Accord is ODB2-compliant? Would be nice to have a decent trip computer instead of just outside temp...

    Slight vibration at idle

Starting to spend more time in my newly acquired Accord. It's a 6g 5-dr auto with 89,000m under its wheels. Drives well enough but the most obvious niggle is a slight vibration at idle. This can be felt through the car's body at standstill (traffic lights, etc), but it disappears when driving...

    6th gen Workshop Manual

Thanks for that. Have DLed the ISO file (it was unavailable yesterday) and will now work out how to get it on to a disk (or read it direct from the hard disk).
