    2014 2.2 idtec EX Tourer

Hi all, i am thinking of buying a new car and would like some advice as to what you all think my car is worth? I bought it in November 2016 with 94000 miles on the clock and full Honda Sevice History, and since then I have looked after and seviced the car myself. There is a fully documented...

    Euro 6 emissions

Hi all, I was recomended to get a sticker for my windscreen to show what the emissions were in case i ended up in Paris or Lille when on a visit to France recently. The cost is minimal (about 4.5 euros) and easy to do on line. When it came it was Yellow with a "2" on it. During the application...

    Front seat belts

Hi all 8th gen. followers, I wonder if anybody else has found it difficult connecting the front seat belt, particularly if wearing a jacket or a coat. I have not encountered this on other cars I have owned and I would suggest that the part attached to the front seat should be a little longer...

    Rear Camera Lens

Hi All, Has anybody found away to keep the rear camera lens clear of road dirt on a Tourer, as its just about useless in this type of weather? Pete.

    PGM-FI

Hi, just finished changing the near side dipped beam lamp in my iDTEC Tourer. What a very awkward job this is considering it is something that crops up with every car from time to time. I started by peeling back the plastic under the wing, but soon found out there was no room for my hand. I...

    idtec Accelerator Pedal Adjusted

Hi All, I have found, particularly on long journeys, that the accelerator pedal is not comfortable to use. At motorway speeds it would make my ankle ache and if I increased the pressure on the pedal I would be going too fast (speeding points) and if I relaxed the pressure the speed would drop...

    Android Torque App

Has anybody managed to get DPF pressure and temperature readings to work on Torque Pro? This would be good to monitor state of DPF and regeneration process. Pete

    Front Brake Pads

Hi everybody, I have just fitted some new front brake pads to my diesel tourer, and although it was a straight forward job after reading the DIY posts, obtaining the pads from an Ebay site, was anything but. It seems that several sellers think there are more than one type of brake pad and disc...

    Low Ash Oil

As far as I understand it, oil such as 0W30 C2/3 is low saps and its purpose is to reduce the ash produced during combustion, so as to extend the life of the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF). If the DPF is removed (and the engine management system adjusted to cut out the regeneration process)...

Full size spare wheel (225/50-17) iDTEC Tourer (How To)

Hi, I have recently bought my first Honda, a iDTEC Tourer. It came with no spare wheel just a puncture repair kit, which in my opinion is a very poor substitute I decided to buy a used 225/17-50 wheel and tyre and here is a “how to” for fitting it in place of the repair kit under the floor...

Hi all, does anybody know the torque figures for the wheel nuts.

    MPG idtec tourer

Hi, I have just used my first tank of fuel and the inbuilt mpg calculator in the instrument cluster read 45.5 mpg. Not too bad I thought, as I am still getting used to the car and had let the car idle for long periods while I checked the engine temperature and played with the Satnav. However...

    Cold Heater

Hi, the heater on my diesel tourer is very poor, luke warm on the passenger side and cooler on the drivers side. It has been suggested that the thermostat needs replacing. Does anyone hve any knowlege about this and and the ease or difficulty of replacing the stat. Cheers, Pete.

    Wheels

Hi, my first post having just bought a 2014 diesel tourer. Does anybody know if the wheels from a 7 gen. fit the 8 Gen. cars? I ask because my car only has a repair kit instead of spare wheel, and it is likely the wheels from the previous model will be more plentiful. Cheers, pete.
