So replacing the alternator belt could cure it?

It's does have the eps light on start up. What could be causing he squeel when turning even just slightly to the right? Always used to be just a low fluid level or stretched belt

Would it just be a new belt needed to stop the squeak with eps? Or looking at bigger problems?

I've got a squeak from my power steering and want to check the fluid level but where is the reservoir? On other cars it looks to be by the screen wash filler but I just have an empty space there on my 53 petrol accord.

All depends on the mot tester. Some will let them pass others won't. Easy enough to just change the bulbs back round come mot time anyway

Turns out the smell is coming from the exhaust. Something in the backbox is getting a bit hot. Do the universal stainless steel boxes fit? I've seen a few cheap ones on eBay around 50/60 quid. I won't have the car for much more than a year so it doesn't need to last me years.

It's a manual. I could touch the rear brake calipers even after a 100 mile drive and the tyres didn't seem hot either, barely even warm. The wheel is barely warm to the touch where it bolts to the hub too. The tyres are all facing the right direction too, all have outside on them, no direction...

ive got a burning rubber type smell coming from both rear wheels after even just a short drive of a few miles. The garage have checked the brakes and they all release and retract as they should do. What else could it be as they seem a bit stumped?

Yep, doors all wide open and the boot lid only pops an inch to release it when the key fob is held down or the lever is pulled inside the car, the actual rubber button on the boot does nothing at all.
