Hi guys just a quick one. I've noticed now a few times that when I first start the car (2.4 tourer) that there us a high pitched whine until it's warm. The noise is related to engine so I'm guessing it could be alternator(ish) Any help as always will be much appreciated

Well I've just had the little storage unit out under the radio to fix the problem of it not opening and was horrified to find lots of brown insulation tape and some grey gaffa tape on the loom going to the 12v socket and plenty of other bits behind there. God knows what they have been doing!!
