Asking for advice. Bought Honda accord 2006 diesel back in July. Had problem with clutch pedal,when you hold it down for too long it’s coming back to slow and after it’s very hard when you press it. I’ve changed clutch master cylinder was hoping it will help but nothing 2 weeks ago changed slave cylinder was ok for 1 days clutch pedal was easier to press but after started the same problem. Also noticed that if you hold clutch pedal for too long biting point is at the start. When car is cold clutch is ok but once it warms up clutch is very hard to press. Thanks

Master and slaved changed - it's not the hydraulics. Liable to be the clutch is going. What's the miles? Driving style is the overall cause but they do seem to have an average lifespan! Mine gave out right after getting the car, aprox 160k. Ended up so far gone gears couldn't be selected when warm. Stuck at the end of a slip road with a car that wouldn't go into gear, that was no fun!

Hi Chaps- hope you can advise. (06 FR-V I-ctdi 156k) What is causing my clutch pedal to get stiff after 20 mins of driving?? Most ppl complain of a spongy or soft clutch pedal, not stiff! Got the car with 136k on the clock nearly 2 years ago and I don't know if the clutch has been replaced...
