Hiya hive mind.
Help needed.
My car has decided that it thinks it's rear left door is open, when it isn't.
Thought it might be the push switch but having swapped it with others from other doors I'm getting the same issue still at the rear left door, any of the switches work perfectly everywhere else on the car but when any of them are in the rear left appeture it still thinks the door is open, this is stopping the car from locking with the remote key lock press and I'm having to lock physically with the key in the drivers door. (this is locking all doors as expected)
However, randomly the cars alarm is being activated, this appears to happen when the car decides (after locking with the key and usually in the early hours of the morning) that it's door in now closed!! Triggering the alarm.
Then the car is OK for a few days, during this time the door open switch works fine, then again (usually in the early hours again ) it decides to think it's open again. .
Swapping out the switches isn't making any difference to this cyclic fault.
Can anyone help?
