Can anybody tell me if gauge is mechanical or electronic float system as every time I refuel gauge sticks on full and is a trip to garage for fixing your help would be appreciated

At a glance it looks like a mechnical operated level switch. Maybe sticking in the tank??

I still think a trip to Honda is the solution for this as at worst case it could be the dials?
