I could understand that if I would like to tint them on more than 50% which is illegal, but I am talking about 10-15%. Just a little dim

Imo, they look much better with lovely clean headlights. Polish them and perfect. Having had tinted lights on another car, I had nothing but regrets for buying it like that. Messed with the throw , rear lights were really badly affected. Make sure your insurance will cover it beforehand or you'll risk a lovely run in with the police who are rarely impressed by tinted anything!

Imo the nicest and safest way to tint these is to scuff them down ready to paint, mask over the circular reflectors for the combo bulbs, reverse and fog, and do the same very neatly for the indicators
Then a dusting of black paint, remove masking, clear over everything
