Download the ESM from the link at the top of this section.
It is the manual that Honda produce for the 6th gen.
All the info you could ever need is inside it.
The "special" tool Honda use is nothing more than a fancy shorting strap and as mentioned the paper clip does the same thing but for less than £20 you can get a code reader which will make understanding the codes an awful lot easier.
