Front bumper upgrade pre-facelift to facelift

Hello guys,

I've got 2004 ictdi, want to upgrade front bumper to facelift one, actually prefer type-s but it won't fit properly. Anyone knows or actually tried to fit facelift bumper on pre-facelift ? from saloon or estate model ?

Hi buddy if your going to swop the pre facelift bumper to a facelift one, then you will also need a facelift grill (as the prefacelift is smaller in size, if you want to make it look like a complete facelift then you will need to get new headlights and take the chrome of the bonnet too :)
 
bumper will fit as said with the grille, though the prefacelift diesel has a different bumper with larger vents to help cool the diesel lump, i'm not sure if there's anything else needed for fitting a facelift bumper though :unsure:
 
difference in front between facelift and pre-facelift is grille, bumper, bonnet and headlights, as ukaccord said to fit bumper you need grille too.
 
yup, prefacelift bonnet is 5-10mm shorter too, but you cant really notice it unless you know what you're looking out for. You'd want to change it anyway as the chrome strip is shorter then the new grill is, as the new grill is much wider.
 
I was gonna fit facelift front bumper with grill (that grill very good looking), headlights will need light tinting, bonnet strip will be dechromed maybe repainted same color as a car(cheaper than bonnet replacement). Just what about fog lights? are they fitted in exact place as on pre facelift bumper?
 
foglights use different brackets on the facelift bumper, so you can remove your from your brackets if you get your hands on a set of brackets.

Here's a pic, you can see where the bonnet just isnt long enough right at the centre of the grill. You dont really notice it from the front but its more noticible side on. But again only those that know will spot it, most folk wont. This was ryan's car from scotland and this pic was when his brother bought it off him, he's on this forum but not been active in a while so im not sure if he still has it or not.
 
Nice, that bumper is type-s isn't it ? have heard these won't fit on exec. what about facelift grill? same thing with the bonnet not being long enough ?

that is the facelift type-s lip,it will fit the ex model of the accord if only if it is a facelift,again the grill on the facelift is interchangeable between both diesel and petrol models,weather executive sport etc...
 
although you cant see it, that is a real facelift euro r grill and you can see where it sits proud as the bonnet is a tiny big short. Im ***uming every grill will sit like this

what about the bumper? the facelift one the only fits to pre facelift?
 
The bumpers fit either facelift or prefacelift ..just make sure you hey the correct grill for the bumper you go for .....facelift grill for facelift bumper etc etc...

Will this work vice versa? So fitting pre facelift type s front bumper and grill to a facelift Honda Accord EX
 
Facelift and pre facelift have different grill, headlights, bumper and bonnet. You can get away with the headlights but the rest need to be changed in a set to match.
