Hi guys
Anybody fitted this or considering it
What's required in fitting this

I remember someone who tried to fit a downpipe that resembles like that, and he had some problems due to the O2 sensor.
I don't recall if it was a 1.8 or 2.0 engine.

Search over the forum, you might find the topic.

I had a feeling there would be problems with the 02 sensor and what not

it doesnt make too much difference whether its the 1.8 or the 2.0 as im sure the manifold and down pipe will be pretty much the same

found it mate

IIRC, the 1.8 is a 4-2-1, while the 2.0 is 4-1.

^^^spot on dude.

ohh i see mate, well you learn something new everyday

This is a really good buy
but would be a waste if it wasn't too fit,
Has anybody successfully fitted this to their car

Exact same question as you mate!
Is yours a 1.8 or 2.0

Decat is easy enough there's a few on EBay

Asim,
Check your o2 sensors as my 2001 1.8 vetec has 2...1 pre.cat & 1 after... & the SS. manifold only shows 1.
Eddie.

It should fit as the 1.8 has a o2 sensor just after the flexi as pictures in the stainless manifold. As mentioned the second sensor is in the cat so that wont matter. I did recently email them asking if it would defo fit but they havent replied, im tempted ti get one myslef as i think it would look sweet in the engine bay.

I'm hoping this fits as you said Marv this would look cool!

Mine also has 2 sensors im sure

I'm thinking this is either an upgrade for us 1.8 owners or for the 2.0 owners to make there's into a 4-2-1 set up

Keef type Accord Decat on eBay it's listed as 98-02 don't think that has the spacer though

If you get one and need a hand fitting it I could help, got a welder to just incase it needs to be made to fit lol

if someone could confirm it works and doesn't need an O2 simulator etc I'd be interested where would
I get a spacer from will no one make one on here?

Where abouts are you mark?

And marv the spacers are about 13 quid
If you gimme a wee while I'll get both links up

I'm soo tempted to buy manifold Howver if it doesn't fit then I'm screwed as Im expecting a big court fine :(
(Yeah driving offences)

Meant Marv*

And keef* for spacers

Iv had a email back from japspeed themseles and they say it will fit the 1.8 accord :)

I stay in East lothian near Haddington, travel to Edinburgh most days for work.

Cheers
Martin

Im going to mod my standard downpipe first as iv already made the piece up, il see how well it works. Every time I open the bonnet I do imagine how good a stainless manifold will look lol il drop you a text tho, could catch up for chat and get some pics.

Yeah no probs would be good!

cheers mate:) got those links:p and yeah I'll be running fully decat and as manifold n downpipe if I do this:p

Stupid question but does our accords have one cat or two
As I'm sure many cars have 2

Just the one mate. I've not owned a car with 2 cats - are you maybe thinking of the mid section silencer? On my Prelude it's cat shaped so could be confusing

2 lambda sensors, 1 in the manifold one in the cat I imagine, that was the set up on the 2.0l. Manifold differences aside between the engines if they're both OBDII I can't see why the sensor locations would be different. That aftermarket manifold has a bung on the manifold and the downpipe so you'd have flexibility as to where the the pre cat sensor was fitted anyway, if it is in a slightly different location on the 1.8l
