:) as i was started my car today, the vsa light came up on the dashboard and stayed on,i tried presssin the button but it still stayed on, i tried taking rthe key out and everything but its still there  im getiing kinda worried now as iv read the other threads and some said it could be the faulty bosch module(since mine is diesel)is this correct...??? sorry guys but worring me know, will this effect my car, should i stop driving it,should i take it to honda, someone also said brake sensor(my front pads are getting low)so will this effect it, or is a diagnostis machine requires(garage has snap on one)i hope some knows whats going on....so any help is greatly appriciated....thanks guys...mo.....   ;) :(

hmm well i had a similar problem and i cleaned my brake sensor and the vsa light went off.. so try the simple things first as if they work are the cheapest fix... if it doesn't work after this then see a Honda dealer as they can hook it up and see whats what... i was gonna say go to CJ but just noticed where u live haha

I've moved it Mo.

Is it just the VSA Light or is the ABS light on too?

You need to get it diagnosed asap. No point guessing what it might be. I think some Snap On machines can read the manufacturer specific codes so worth trying, otherwise it's a visit to the dealers or if you're passing through Leeds some time - ask CJ to check it for a reasonable fee.

^^ true but the vsa light has played up on a lot of members cars and they have all said that 90% of the time cleaning the sensor solved the issue so its worth doing this first saving u spending ur cash first coz i knwo how much these london dealers charge lol just to look at it

its just the vsa light bro, no abs light, it just stays on ... :) sorry about that fahad couldnt get into here, still cant get into chat either.....no passing through or near leeds for a while untill october.... i think im get the brakes done anyway and il try to get diagnostic done too, how much for the vsa module if it is that(got warranty direct coveron accord) thanks for all your help guys ...trust me i really do appriciate you guys....

oh if ur still on warranty then thats kool im sure they would replace it if its faulty.. but usually they cost like 1500 pounds

Just to clear up a few myths here guys.

There is no point in trying to recitfy a problem if you don't know what the cause is.

If your warning light is on, it means the ECU has picked up a problem. You need to have the code read first and then decide if you want to do a DIY repair.

ABS sensors are not removable in this generation of Accord - they are prone to seizing, and as I will have to do myself this week, will need drilling out.

It might not even be an ABS sensor.

Regarding the chat facility on this forum, that is reserved for the Admin team.

even though im still under warranty, i still want to sort this problem out as quickly and effectively as possiable...lol...i think il get the brakes checked first(ps. where you talking about cleaning the brake sensors anojan...sorry bro not very familiar with accord faults and tchnicals....lol)

i think your right fahad i think i will have to get the ecu read since the ecu picked up the problem.... i will try my mates garage with snap on since he has alot of keys and reading equipment for most cars....just hope its not the vsa module.... 1500 is very expensive, is it only attainable through honda, or is there a improved module(dont want to keep replacing if they are prone to failing)fahad is there any problem with driving it in its current state(with light on)dont want to cause more problems(but this car is neded for use everyday)....???

CJ are the petrol VSA units same as the diesel ones?

thankyou very much cj, your knowledge and help is priceless....we deffernetly need another cj in the south....lol...ill try to get the ecu read by the garage tommorow,if it is the module(which im preying is not)then i guess il have to take it to honda......its kinda dissappoinhtin for honda uk to know about the problem and not sort it out as a recall or something...very dissappointing..... ;) :p :(

p.s how many hours of labour required for this job c.j....????if honda can provide the module can i get the part fitted in my garage.....????

is bosch the only comapny making the module for the accord diesels...???.... iv heard the type s having some tsx modules j4jav if that helps brother....but know if thats gosspel....

ok...i can see why they wont hand out the module....how likely is it that it will fail again cj, or are the new modules improved and less likely to fail....have had problems with bosch parts on my old audi s3 and brake light sensor which i had to keep replacing so hoping just have to keep replacing this...... :D :( :( :(

I wonder who makes the VSA modules for the 8th gen diesels...

We have rep points again?

i tought we did i hit the green button on CJ and it said i have no access lol

Ignore my last post - figured it out already.

no worries dude.. but uke ukaccord said we need another of u down here.. care to make a clone?? :D :( :(

il keep you guys updated reagardin the vsa after the check up.....mo.

cars booked in for after 1 pm today at local garage for diagnostic......

right guys...... at one i took the car into y mates garage for the diagnostic for this culprit:

1.jpg

as you can no abs light just the vsa.....

at the garage this is the machine used to diagnose the problem....

2.jpg

(it is a snap on).... the machine showed no faults on the ecu, but other it showed fault 66-1 (which i believe is the vsa) and the a second 84-1 as break sensor....???
after seeing the 66-1 fault i got in touch with honda in romford...they said even though iv done my own diagnostic test, they will have to investigate by doing one themselves(60.00 for apparently the half an hour of diagnosing) i did ask if the part was covered by honda as its a problem which honda are already accustom too, they said that they will have to get in touch with honda uk...????.....after booking the car in(to be left)i gave honda uk customer relations a call and told them about the whole situation regarding the matter, they said they cant agree to pay for anything unless a full report of the investigation has been done through honda romford.....

so guys it seems like im gonna have to wait till Wednesday to find out what further action is going to be taken by honda,im sorry i know this seems to be dragging on, but the situation seems a bit oblique at the moment......whats your opinion guys....??????? please please comment.....thanks again mo.... <_< :) :) :(

sorry guys do you think that the fault 84-1 could be the cause of the vsa light coming on, as iv been searching for this on the internet, and alot of people saying could be brake sensor....???please advice...

just to keep you guys updated and in the loop ,the car is going to honda hendon at 14.00 today, so wont have to wait for diagnostic for tomorrow.......

Mo, I've not seen the 66-1 error on mine (thankfully).. It could be that one of the sensors is triggering the module to show an error too somehow.

On mine it's just the rear left sensor, and today the light went off on its own again and hasn't come back on. I'm just waiting for my replacement sensor to turn up and I'll fit it anyway..

If your car is under warranty, why are you having to pay for any diagnostic charges?
