Hi everyone,

My car has been making a clunking / knocking noise whenever I go over a bump so I checked underneath and found that a bar wasn't connected to where it should be.

Can you help me and tell me what this rod is with the four holes in it is?

That's your anti roll bar drop links mate. There are loads of write ups on these around the forum as they always wear out and/or break. It's not a massively expensive job though.

Looks like a snapped drop link. Quite a cheap repair as it goes.

Get a genuine set dude, I have genuine on the back and motor factor on the front and its a massive difference in quality

Alternatively, rather than paying the ludicrous Honda price I'd suggest Meyle drop links instead as they're quality aftermarket parts as opposed to most cheap tat.

Thanks for you replies - When I looked underneath both drop links had actually separated from the anti roll bar.

The picture you see there is a picture of the two parts pushed together again.

Given that they have both separated from the anti roll bar, I can only ***ume I will need two replacements?

Sorry for all the noob questions but I don't know a fat lot about cars!

I just found this which answered my question and may also help other peeps out there!

Just googled it - no offence! ;)

Knocking could also be the rear anti-roll bar bushes.

Has anyone got any experience of the MEYLE HD aftermarket drop links?

Nope, I used OEM and pattern parts on mine, but someone here has used MEYLE and recommended them - I'm sure it'd be in the search (on a phone now)
