Hi forum newbie here this forum has been very helpful as there aren't many resources for the 6th gen. The abs and airbag lights are on. I started by bridging the gap between the 3rd and 5th port on the 5 pin socket which gave me one long flash followed by 7 short flashes which I believe to be 17 which relates to the vss unit. I was just wondering is there any way to get a more detailed description of where the problem is or is it just a case if troubleshooting all the speed sensors? Thanks in advance Sean.

I don't think you could get a more detailed report without otherwise going to a main dealer.

Is your speedo working?

You're probably right the car is at a dealership at the moment as I work at one so it shouldn't be long before I figure it out. Its just that the car is up for retest and that some of you might have exerienced similar problems and have some tips. Yes the speedo is working thanks for the reply anyway.

I think the system is the Honda HDS which can interrogate deeper or an oscilloscope if you didn't have dealer-level privileges to check the ABS sensor waveform.

The dealership I work at used to have a honda dealership so maybe they have one of those hiding somewhere I'll have a look on Monday thanks for the help :)

Hi mate, I just wonder is your blue 5 pin connector numbered ? My 6th gen 2002 is not and I must have read hundreds of posts but could not find anything about the colours of the cables to bridge. What colours have you jumped ?as I am a bit scared that I might jump wrong ones and burn the fuse or mess up ecu.

Hi as far as I can remember I didn't do it by colour I just bridged the 3rd and 5th terminals of the 5 pin plug and that gave me the flash code with the ignition on. I don't know whether this helps or not but that's what I remember iirc

Thanks for the quick reply ,just one more thing , I am not sure from which one start to count when you say 3rd with 5th , would that be 3rd one from the left as you look from holes side or back side(where cables go), taking into the account that release latch is on the top??as I have noticed lots of people write to bridge 3 with 5 and others 1 with 3 , as my aren't numbered I guess it depends from what way you look at it.

Hi guys,

Can anyone help me with this ABS code? Please note, the front right ABS sensor is completely disconnected, however there appears to be another 'set' of codes.

Anyone able to interpret?

is looks like to me you are getting code 12 and 13

12 : wheel sensor(electrical noise/intermittent interruption) FR
13 : wheel sensor (open/short to body ground/short to power )FL

I had code 11 on mine which is like 13 but front right , all I have done was taken the sensor out , cleaned it and connectors, than sprayed with wd40 the screw under abs module as it was rusty and I think its the ground to the abs itself.Problem was solved.Hope this helps a bit.
