Hey guys, newbie here and did a quick diy mod today that really improved the look and output of the factory headlights.

Excuse the poor pictures, only have a phone at the light was terrible.

First up some before pics.

As you can see they were in pretty bad shape, the car had lived its entire life on the motorway and it has taken its toll!

First I tried just the Meguiars Plasti-x compound with the mop and it came out ok, but some areas were still bad.

So I then cleaned it again and started with the sanding pads.

Gave it another coat of compound and checked light output.

Rinse and repeat on other side and Tada!

Well done, they've come up a treat.
 
I made a start on mine at the weekend with the same kit, drivers was much worse than the passenger's but the compound works a treat. I'll need to go back over the drivers side and hopefully one pass will sort out the other.

It's a very small detail that makes a big difference
 
nice one - did you put anything on to protect them afterwards. Few other posts I've read about people doing this suggest that something is needed to protect them?
