I'm wanting to fit some 1999 honda accord type R recaro's into my 1999 honda accord 1.8. It has manual seats as standard and I was just wondering would the seats be a straight swap? And is there any guides to taking out the front seats? I've searched but to no avail.

Hi Dan, IIRC they are straight swaps as all the bodys (and thus mounts) are identical. They should be anyway but don't back me up on that.

Hi Dan,

Please notice that if your car is equipped with SRS Side Airbags (in the seats) replacing those seats with this beautifull Recaro specimens will trigger an error in your SRS system and stops ALL airbags from deploying on impact. Though not part of your question I couldn't resist to warn you. If your car isn't equipped with Side Airbags, there shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks. Fingers crossed they are then :)

Thanks for the heads up. Is there not a resistor pack I can buy? Swapping seats in my old clio sport was as simple as fitting a resistor to trick the system. My honda does have side airbags so now that's something else I'm sorting out :/

Resistors and jobs a good one mate.... To remove the seats its only four bolts... Two at rear of seat are behind plastic bits that you pull off... Front two you can see mate

Sorry tp bring up and old thread but where would the resistor go and what resistor would i need? Thanks
