Just gone to fit a new battery into my 52 plate Accord Hatchback a 2l SE Executive . I think it's one of the last Accord Hatchbacks.
The battery I have removed has this number on top 31500 S1A G01 the one I have been given has 31500 S1A G11 HE on top.
I'm not convinced it is a direct replacement. As well as the metal battery strap I also have a plastic bit that fits around the sides of the battery to the back of the car, across the back of the battery and across the top sitting under the metal battery strap. This bit of plastic does not fit well with the new battery

The plastic bit and metal strap can be seen at www.partsbase.org/parts/honda-31500s1ag01/ the metal strap is number 3 and the plastic bit is number 6.

Is it the right or wrong battery, do I use the plastic bit as well or discard it?

thank you in advance

It's seems to be the right battery , the old battery you have is out of hondas stocklist and has been superceeded by the part number on the new battery you have .

hey buddy, i bought aftermarket battery too and i had the same problem. i currently fixed it by using part number 3 on pics to hold batt. it holds it pretty good. but anyway im going to get passwordJDM batt holder

thank you, I have done away with the plastic bit, number 6, but don't think the metal strap fits as well
