Hello,
I'm currently looking for 8th gen ideally 2.2 diesel in EX trim or Type S.
Currently driving a6 2.0tdi avant.
I was looking for info how to check DPF before goes wrong with now luck.
Is there any OBD software and dongle which will work with Honda?
And anything to look for in particle for this model, please?

But looks like it is ES GT which is not what I'm looking for.
Will I be able to start emergency DPF regen with ELM 327?

Sorry, you can view the 'for sale' section when you have made (I think) 10 posts.

No. No OBD2 reader can execute a regen.
 
A newer HDS should do this. I'm guessing that not all clones are the same, some will be better than others.

If you're really determined to buy a car with a DPF, I'd use it until it went wrong (which it may not) then have it removed.
 
Jon_G, thanks I will look it to this, there is currently one uk seller on ebay £125 for clone.
MilanoChris, I would like to buy EX or EX GT ideally. Going to see on on Wednesday, thanks

Type s tourer round the corner from me at stratstone jaguar for only 10700 I think. Took in part ex
Looks clean apart from light scratches on passenger rear door and wing but should buff out on prep
