Here is the list of chassis codes for Accords in the UK
These codes will be found in the 4th, 5th, 6th characters of your VIN
Unless stated otherwise, the codes below can be found on UK cars
i.e. this is not a complete list, other chassis codes exist for non-EU models

CL9 = 2.4 petrol saloon

CM3 = 2.4 petrol tourer 4WD (not UK)

CN1 = 2.2 diesel saloon
CN2 = 2.2 diesel tourer
CN3 = 3.0 petrol hybrid (not UK)

6th gen
CG1 to CG6 - USA models
CG7 = 1.6 petrol saloon
CG8 = 1.8 petrol saloon
CG9 = 2.0 petrol saloon

CH1 = 2.2 petrol saloon (Type-R)

CL2 = 2.3 petrol tourer 4WD (not UK)
CL3 = 2.0 petrol saloon
CL4 to CL6 not used

5th, 4th, etc
chassis codes were not unique to engine in the car
but feel free to add any codes you have for your car + engine (only if it is the original engine)

Hi,

Possible small correction?

My 2001 2.3 Type V has CL4 in its VIN.

Cheers,

      Aidan (new)

I couldn't think where else to put this

Part Numbers explained

e.g.  from [Accord Tourer 2004 2.4 Exec]

e.g. 61100-SED-E0-0-ZZ (DASHBOARD COMP., UPPER)

61100 = Function / Component (DASHBOARD COMP., UPPER)
SED = Parts classification, or model  (in this instance model = Accord Tourer, see model list)
E0 = Part designation
0-9= Subcontractor / supplier designation

ZZ = Primed (Metal/Plastic Part)
OR
ZA ~ on Colour Coded Part

Model list (7th gen, from what I can make out)
SEA = petrol saloon (7th gen, both 2.4 and 2.0)
SED = petrol Tourer (7th gen, both 2.4 and 2.0)
SEF = diesel saloon (7th gen)
SEG = diesel Tourer (7th gen)

and where a saloon part fits a Tourer, the saloon part number is usually given

another example, exhausts
2.2 diesel saloon = 18030-SEF-E0-1
2.2 diesel Tourer = 18030-SEG-E0-1
2.0 petrol saloon = 18030-SEA-00-0
2.0 petrol Tourer = 18030-SED-00-0
2.4 petrol saloon = 18030-SEA-J0-1
2.4 petrol Tourer = 18030-SED-E0-1

but I see no reason why a saloon exhaust wouldn't fit a Tourer
