judder/hesitation pulling away

Hi all,

I have a 57 2.2 cdti which until now has been perfect...

Recently i've been experiencing an issue whereby i will try and pull away in first gear (after being parked) and the car will briefly struggle and as a result judders and hesitates. This only appears to be on cold starts and only occasionally. I stress this lasts for no more than 2 secs.
I can feel the biting point as i release the clutch and this doesn't feel too high. I also get no other issues with the clutch although i do feel that sometimes when i go into 3rd gear at the right speed it crunches in... i initally put this down to me not engaging the pedal correctly but now i'm not so sure.


Any ideas?

It's not clutch related. Sounds more like your egr valve is sticking.

This is a very common issue on these and most modern diesel cars. If you're interested in a permanent fix, drop me a line.

i have this also but it is every
time i pull away in 1st gear,
and its every time as well as reversing.
