Hi just recently got an 8th gen type s.Brilliant car but when you get above 70mph...obviously for over taking purposes..there is a shocking vibration.I literally feel it everywhere.Through the floor, seat and steering wheel.Ive had the wheels rebalanced and an alloy with a skight ding repaired.I still feel it.Its really bad at 80.I only have tyres left to replace but anyone else had a problem? Its a bit like when you drove your first car which was old and shook as you sped up.

That's definitely not normal. Try swapping front rims with rears to eliminate rims and tyres.

Other likely causes are driveshafts and suspension components

I had the exact same thing and it was my rear tyres. You would swear it was coming from the front as it really did vibrate. A new set of rear tyres sorts my problem out.

Hi thanks for responses Im not sure if they were balanced on the car or not as Honda done it.The alloy that was repaired was balanced off but the rest I am unsure of.I suppose what would be a way to tell would be to swap wheel off another one.Doubt whether honda may do that. They wont test drive over 70 so keep sending it back as sound then as soon as I get it i drive upto 80 and i can feel it again

If able jack the car up and then "feel" each tyre for blisters or worse, usually they appear on the inside walls. WOULD NOT BE SURPRISED IF IT IS THE REPAIRED RIM were the trouble lies.

I had the exact same trouble, tried balancing, had alloys checked, had the tracking checked, tried swapping wheels around. Still had the vibration. Put on four new tyres and car drove light a dream, vibration gone.

Hopefully tyres then! Borrowing a complete set off another car to try and discover if its the car or the wheels
