Cheeky Favour

Hi all,

I'm looking to get a K&N Typhoon on my Accord 2.0 (K20A6). Unfortunately I had the crappy experience of suffering with tinnitus recently. Whilst I have no hearing loss or measurable damage to my ear; I am concerned about sound inside the car with a open CAI fitted.

Before I go ahead and buy..............is there anyone around or near Oxford who has a CAI fitted to their Accord; who would be able to take me out so I can gauge the sound level? I would drive to you. I'm not expecting a test drive; just a passenger ride.

I don't think a CAI is anything to worry about, ive had ear problems in the past and the only thing that ever got too much constantly was the nurspec R exhaust I had on the classic WRX, god that was loud!
And it did cause a bit of ringing sometimes

I've read a few comments where people say it's deafening (could be exaggerating). Tinnitus seriously sucks.

Did you also have chronic tinnitus? Or did it only happen after being exposed to loud sounds?
