Hi guys, first of all sorry for my english as it's not my native language.
I have run into a problem with my 2004 Accord 2.2 i-CTDI.
I use it on longer journeys to get to work. (100 miles a day return). There was no problem until last Friday. Car started with rough idle and some white (maybe a bit blueish) smoke from the exhaus. Then it stalled. After 30 seconds on more than 3000 RPM the symptoms are gone after tons of black smoke came out from the exhaust. Then I was able to drive it home with no problems, no smoke.. Next day the same problem in morning. Light smoke from the exhaust and rough idle. After 1-2 minutes on high RPM some black smoke again, but not as much as the day before. Then it works like a charm again until the next morning.
Nothing came up on the dashboard and there are no fault codes.
Mobile mechanic said he would try a new fuel filter. I am planning to get it to a mechanic for a full inspection and servicing but now I need the car daily to get to work.
Any ideas would be really appreciated!
Cheers,
Mark
