Guys i was in halfords today of all places and noticed these blue lazer lamps.Im after some new lamps for the main beam to almost match my HIDS.
Have anyone had any experience with these or recommend anything else.Im not expecting the same output and colour as the HIDS but something close.

just get some good quality LED's...

i have currently rock THESE which i think are great... but i may think about upgrading to get THESE as they are 156 lumen output ;)

Adam Brett said main beam unless you know other wise a 501 5watt bulbs not much cop as main beam lights ;)

I have HID's in Main Beam, Dipped Beam and also Fog ;)

i demand pics then!

Simon. they are a nice bright white. i will get a photo up later when it gets dark. they fill the side light cavity up really well too.

So guys what is the fitments for the full beam.I may get these bulbs to try them and get some photos up.

Well guys iv made a decision and gone for these as main beam bulbs.Im 99% the fitments for main beam is H1 the same as dipped can someone confirm that please.

main, high, full what ever you call it beam is H1 why don't you just fit another set of HID's as suggested the bulbs you've chosen wont be brighter than HID's

Actually High beam bulbs are no brighter than low beam - it's just the reflector housing is different to cast a different light dispersion.

Still wont be brighter than hids though ;)

Standard bulbs philips xtreme get my vote for light output, but seriously you should be considering hids if this is a issue as it costs nearly the same.

cheers guys for the info the reason im not going for hids on high beam is there not used that much.what i want is a whiter light as standard bulbs are yellow.the thing is with hids for main beam the life span will be reduced because of short use hence on and off all the time which is no good for the bulbs

I see mate, you was just after the colour/look. They should be fine

Ye Sal im not to worried about the light output because i have the HIDS for that. The light output should be slightly better than standard ones but hopefully the colour will be almost the same as the HIDS.If there any good i may do the fogs as well to keep it all looking the same.

Jav, what it like when you flash your main beam?

lets just say people on the other side of the motorway flash at me if i let some one into my lane lol...

theres no point in getting them for your main beam as HIDS dont like to be flash when there cold and another thing they dont react as fast as normal bulbs so just go for LED sides HID fogs and Dips

I have HID's in Main Beam, Dipped Beam and also Fog ;)

Me too, 6000K all round and LED sidelights too, but I've ordered Osram Nightbreakers for the Fulls/Main because I don't like the turning on and off of the full ... future ballast issues, safety for checking bends, flashing cars to leave them pass, etc. What do you think?
