Hello everybody!

I have an 8th gen Accord 2.2 an I'm facing with a strange problem. The car was recalled for a software update and oil change. After this update I was able to drive around 15 km when the check engine light came on and car went to limp mode. I pulled over and restart the car after 15-20 minutes. The check engine light was on and after 100 meters driving the PGM-FI message appeard on the dash display and engine stopped. I've tried the steps from the manual for the PGM-FI message, disconnected and reconnected the battery but the engine was cranking and didn't start. No messages on the display only yhe glow plug light is flashing rapidly (like strobing). The Honda garage told me that the ECU was fried because they cannot connect to it to check for DTCs.
I would appreciate any advice about this issue. Thank you!

So the dealer fried your ECU? This has happened right after your Honda main dealer software update or have you had it remapped?

Thanks for your reply F6HAD. I've found out that the previous owner of the car disabled the DPF.

Well there's your problem. The ecu has been opened previously.
