Hi all,

Anyone know the size (width) of the clear tubing required to bleed the brakes on a 7th gen CL7 2.0 Petrol?

I'm going to change the pads and discs so thought it would be worth doing at the same time. Also how much brake fluid will I need?

Im going to follow this video on you tube, looks straight forward

Also if anyone knows how much brake fluid i should have to complete the job it would be good.
Never flushed brakes before so not sure of the stupidness of this next question.
Does it matter where i get the brake fluid from or what brand i get. Im guessing as longs as its the correct 'dot' rating it would be fine?

That will do the job, dot 4.1 you may need about 2 bottles max for a full flush.

That tool could be better. Just need a valve and hose clip. Good shout

Can anybody confirm if this brake fluid is good enough or should i go honda dot4?

Sorry dot 4 is fine you can use original honda which is suggested

Thanks saj.
They quoted me 7£ for 500ml. Il need 2 bottles which is why i thought i could just get the pagid dot4 for ecp. About£5 from ecp.
Would that be causing problems u think?

Looks good and im sure its worth it.
Im just weighing up what should be genuine replacement and what i can get away with on the cheap without affecting the car.
Its 11 years old now so dont want to be throwing money at it for no good reason

Well mine is 2003 and a few good pounds will be worth it it's not every day you replace brake or clutch fluid.

True.
Iv had in the past month a clutch replacement with mtf change. Oil, oil filter, pollen filter, air filter and spark plugs all genuine.
Brake discs and pads (mintex) and orginal honda coolant being done over the next fews days as well as rear drop links and a gearbox mount...
Pockets taken a hit☺
Because of that im going to go with pagid dot4 and just change it every couple of years

That's ok dot4 pagid will be fine
