I bought some 18" alloys for mine and sized the tyres at 225 45 18 for recommended best results.

Went with Autogreen tyres, good spec for the price.

What load rating are those tyres? I had to go for 98 on the Tourer

I fitted Falken FK510 in 235/45-18 98Y, so far very pleased with their wet performance.

I fitted Falken FK510 in 235/45-18 98Y, so far very pleased with their wet performance.

They are 95W and so far very happy with the handling wet and dry.

Fitted at National Tyres:

The size was the best match for the originals which were 225/50/17 working out to a diameter of 656.8mm

New size is 225/45/18 working out to a diameter of 659.7mm

Tyre sizes for my model suggested here:

im thinking to lowering yes, but im not sure if itsworthed or not on 19inch alloys.

If you fitted 19" wheels with 255mm tyre width the aspect ratio would need to be 35 to keep the overall diameter within parameters.

Rim width would need to be a minimum of 8.5 to fit 255 wide:
