Has anyone ever removed the 8th gen' i-dtec EGR for cleaning.

I have had a look and contrary to other EGR's I've tackled (on Skoda/VW cars), this one looks tricky.

I think it needs access from underneath to remove at least one bolt/stud under the EGR proper .It also looks like the pipe to the left of the EGR (as looking down onto it) needs to come off as well and this would also need access from underneath to remove one nut.

Actually, it might just be possible to remove these nuts/studs from above, but getting them back on seems impossible without ramps and a long reach up?

Has anyone done this?

Cheers,

I know of one guy who did it and he seriously wished he hadn't. Everything is at the rear with seriously restricted access to the inlet manifold. Better of going for egr off and blanking.
