Love the Kouki. My 14 was a pearl white one and it was mint and on 69k. I was gutted when I pranged it. Didn't have the time to repair it as I wasaid in the process of moving house.
Sold it to a guy in Ireland and it became a drift car.
Would love another, or a PS13, but all silly money now because people like smashing them up drifting.

Yeah. Really appears that way.
A lot of money being spent on the likes of £50k class 7s to be the fastest unknown person to do this laps of a small field.

Even back then (1997ish) my dad and I put an £85 motor in a £35 clubman, built a cage, ditched the alternator, bought 2 Colways and went racing.

Everyone else had blueprinted 'standard' motors back then.

Now I'm dreaming of when I used to buy solid minis for under £50 again.

Love the roof number plate!

Funnily enough I had the exact same oil warning light in mine!

I had nothing else at all in there though. Seat was from a mk2 golf as it was all foam so there was no risk of getting rear ended with a spring, and poached a Willans harness from my father's trials landrover.

Think we had about £400 in it and the majority of that was tyres, fire extinguisher, and CDS to build the cage with.

Class 1 was fantastic racing when you weren't getting turned round on the way into corners by people with faster cars but less corner speed.

Edit - Haha. The tyre marks up the doors say it all. After two rounds, the only straight panel mine had was the roof

Loved heading into a corner with somebody on the outside of you....lean lean lean !!  :P

Gives you great appreciation of exactly how close you can run too another car without actually touching it.  Really good for the road as well !!  :D

I remember watching club races and seeing Mini's tear around corners on full throttle with the inside rear wheel a foot up in the air..

My last four cars have been Alfa Romeo's, 156 pre facelift (1.8 TS, 2.0TS), 147 2.0TS and a 156 facelift 2.0JTS which i pxed for a very japanese Accord. :) .

Don't believe the negativity surrounding Alfa Romeo 156/147, they are excellent cars in my experience and reliable as long as you look after them, just like any other make of car.

Love the Honda Accord!

First car was a vectra gls 1.8
Then a corsa i brought cheap and sold on,in 3 or so months
Then replaced the vectra with a 2.5 v6 sri vectra B saloon, then replaced with a 2.2 vectra B.when i was 17 i was a vectra B fan boy.loved the looks of the saloons.i thought they were great cars until i brought a 18 month old alfa 156 jts will 11k miles for £7600.i thought i got a bargain.the alfa really should up how bad the vectra was in every way.the first good handling car i had.then a newer shape saab 93 aero.in black tinted window and powder coated oem wheels black, looked very gangster, nice car, went very well but didnt handle very well.sold for ep3 that i had for only a mater of weeks.as i couldn't really afford to own it at the time, sold it.then brought a corsa for 200£ saved for a few months and brought a 99 saab 93 viggen.and put on most of the parts available for it from abbott racing.had 320 lbft from 2000 rpm and was pushing 2 bar of boost.was quick but poor handling and big repair bill made me sell it.next up integra dc5.nice fun car, amazing handling.sold it for cl9 as baby on the way.spent a lot on the cl9 in mods. But always wanted a cl7 euro r.even when i had my dc5.i think i love 4 door saloons.
So thats 11 cars in 12 years,i get bored of cars very quick and chance.but now ive got my supercharged cl7 euro r.its a keeper.had it 2,5 years which is the longest ive owned a car by about a year.and no plans on selling it.i also dont miss any of my old cars.non have but a smile on my face like my cl7 does
Practical,fast,great handling,looks cool,reliable,rare,sound good.etc etc

Learned in my Mum's 1988 Mini. That car was a lot of fun and brilliant to learn in. I then shared her 2003 Skoda Fabia for a time.

My first car that I owned myself was a 1993 Golf CL Estate in red. The panels were all in differing stages of fade. It was a 2.0 turbo diesel, huge boot I moved loads in it. It one day went into third gear and didn't come out again...

I then bought the Accord, love it, want it to work forever, and it will work for ever. It will, I tell you!!!

Coil overs are due to arrive on Monday, but as I have self levelling headlamps, I'm going to wait until after my MOT at the end of March to get them fitted as I'll have to meddle with the self levelling system  ;). Clutch hasn't gone yet but I'm confident it's not got long left so will be likely be replacing it later in the year. In the mean time I have the pressing issue of the split intake pipe (replacement on its way) and what I think is a worn rear bearing, but I need to jack up the car and spin the wheels to be sure. Other than that, just some blown interior bulbs and shoddy paintwork  .
