I like the idea of a torque damper for the accord, however i cant see any infor re the mk8 model, has anyone tried?

Sounds like a good way to transmit the noise and vibration back to the cabin that Honda engineered out.

So whats the purpose of engine mounts?

Even though... honda engines do not produce that big torque figures (or any at all :D), so why do you need this?

They stop the engine falling out onto the road
Gosh..., as Goodluckmonkey said, that honda engineered them out (vibration and noise) due to these engine mounts, which a rubber inside (some of them are vacuum controlled) to smooth engine vibration and so on...
And thread creator suggesting/asking if anyone tried that device which in some sort of way disabling the purpose of engine mounts.

Its like a ride a car without springs, just with dampers....

Sorry Julius I misunderstood the point you were making.
It's surprising how changing the setup can effect how the engine runs. The rubber exhaust mounts on a SRI Cavalier I had broke and I needed to use the car before I could get new ones. So I secured the exhaust with heavy duty cable ties. This made the exhaust pipe to rigid and upset the engines balance so every time stopped the engine would stall.
