Hi all,

Just an update on my post from the "newbie" section!

I've had the front grill colour coded with the rest of the motor. For those thinking about doing it and who are more patient than I am, It might be worth getting the parts sprayed direct from Honda.

I paid £90 all in and for a few quid more I could have had brand new Honda parts sprayed meaning I could have kept the originals. I guess the bonus for me is that I didn't have to break things to get the old ones off and new ones on! That said, the fitment on the right looks a bit off

I'm thinking about replacing the badge or even getting that sprayed, but I'm undecided at the moment and it's not a priority. Anyone with any suggestions as to what to go for?!

I've also installed an AUX cable and it was really simple - £13 from ebay! I didn't even need to use to get the casing off. I only needed a screw driver to undo the screws. It's a single cable and I drilled a small hole in the bottom left of the compartment as you look at it in the driver's seat. It's nice and neat and can be tucked away in the hole when not in use.

I've also added front Team Heko wind deflectors and in my opinion it looks subtle but stylish. I might see how the rear one's look, but it might look too much with them on! On a side note, if anyone is looking for some Mr CL7 (Faz) as Mugen styled ones for sale at £30, i'm sure he won't mind you sending him a message to enquire about them!

I'm still undecided on coilovers or springs. Coilovers defo for long term durability and reliability, but at the moment I don't think I can justify spending more than treble the amount springs cost all in! I'm looking at Eibach and AP springs.

Any hoo, just thought I'd share an update, let me know if you want a link to the AUX cable or Wind deflectors and i'll add a link on here!

EDIT - Forgot to mention - got some white LED'S and changed all the interior bulbs, well worth it!

Looking good mate..I'd be interested in details of the aux cable please

Thanks, Raffy!

Here's the link - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/141434286125?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT.

It's really simple and I can appreciate it looks quite cheap. However, it suits my purpose for using Spotify on my phone. The quality is decent too, just be sure to change the setting when it's not plugged in otherwise you'll get a load of feedback! Have a look around though, there's plenty to suit your needs if that's not for you :D

FYI - I don't have a SAT NAV, so it's really easy to install, I just had to plug the harness in to the underside of the stereo in to the only port that was there.

I think, well at least hope, I can add to the jack that's already there, so if circs do change I can add to the one lead I have rather than opening the back - back up!

This is what I have been looking for! Thank you!! I tought the only thing will fit is xcarlink which is not very cheap option. Maybe you can tell me where your aux ending comes? I mean did you put it to your glove box? Or that little box under the radio? :)

Hi Aurimas,

It cam straight out of the compartment area below the main radio unit as you suggest. In order to do that I drilled a little hole in the bottom left hand side of the box when I took it out. There's enough lead there for the passanger / driver to handle the phone if needs be, so there are no issues about it being too short as the picture suggests it might be.

You can then simply add a rubber grommet / bushing in the hole and job done! Just type the italic in to Google and you should see right away on images what I mean!

Thank you, man! I have ordered the same aux cable and will try to fit it in as soon as I get it. :)

Received this aux cable today. Will try to put it on sunday. I will try to put a hole in compartment area. I have a question, did you leave that black box hanging somewhere inside behind the compartment?

I had no issues finding room to secure it with tape :D Should be enough room even with your additional cabling!
