Don't use the car to much these days (motorbike commute) but when I used the car on Saturday evening I noticed my near side dipped beam was out, when I checked the side light was also faulty. Checked the fuses and they seem fine so, before I go buy new bulbs where is the best place to check each bulb is seeing 12V to ensure no other issue?

The side light will stay on no matter which beam is used so they are not connected locally to the headlight cluster.

Ta, didn't want to fight in changing bulbs to find there was something else!!

I also have the nearside to check/replace this week, it doesn't look to be a nightmare, though I have had the horror of working on. Mitsubishi Gallant headlight once, which took a day to replace the bulb.

I always drop the bumper and pull the headlight out to do mine. So quick and easy to do on one of these.

I think I will pull the bumper and headlights so I can change the silica packs too.

Slightly related, I chose to replace a couple of duff bulbs yesterday including the offside front sidelight. Now that one works the nearside one has gone out which annoys me as I bought three only (to swop out the rear number plate - horribly cheap and intermittent LED - ones)

So, is there a bus bar type connection in the loom I might have disturbed or is it pure coincidence ?
