Any other Accord driver finding themselves always being cut up?

I never get tailgated or have anything aggressive towards me but it's almost like people see through me and either pull out ahead of me or just cut me up like the car is invisible. It happens at least once a day in the Honda, but never have this problem when driving the works van.

Here's an example from today -

Don't tho k my car's particularly hard to spot, but I do reckon a high proportion of road users just don't care about cutting people up to gain a car length.

Quite funny because they're always the same meek little people that wouldn't dare try it on if they weren't safely shut inside their car.

Unfortunately I also have this problem daily when driving the Accord. Don't know what it is. All the time I'm being tail gated, pulled out on and cut up. It really boils my pi55 sometimes.

It rarely happened when I had the ATR, very rarely happens in the van, but NEVER and I mean never happens when I'm in the Impreza.

It used to happen, but since I lowered the car, put a front lip on, did the yellow fog lamp thing, off centre, square registration plate, noisy intake and noisy exhaust, it's stopped happening

My answer to tail gating is slow down to 20mph, they usually back off after a while.

I do a very quick brake test...

Better in front of you than behind, at least you can "see" what they are up to, agree though some of these "drivers" are carp, and forgive me but generally young and female. Or am I getting old?? LOL Also blame Clarkson who once alluded to Accord drivers being old men with no sense of adventure.

Like Simon, I used to get a lot of hassle in my 6th Gen 1.8, with people pulling out and tailgaters, but now I get virtually none.

My 7th Gen has wider front wings, and twin tail pipes, so they must send out a subliminal message - don't mess with me.

On behalf of Audi drivers everywhere.. I apologise

I have come to the conclusion the largest percentage of drivers that - Come straight out in front of you from slip roads, Ignore the give way to traffic on the right at roundabouts rule, And change lanes without warning. Are the ones with "Baby on board" stickers in their motors. Apparently it's ok for them to drive like idiots but we have to take evasive action to look after their children.
Having said that I must confess I do wonder about some other signs. - "Show dogs in transit" So bloody what ! - "Horses" It's a bloody great lorry mate, I have no intention of ramming you.

I rarely notice anyone tailgating me when driving any car, indeed if they do, they aren't boy-racers, just drivers who probably want to save fuel by slip-streaming  - I ***ume that from the fact that when we reach a dual carriageway section, they make no attempt to keep up with me

The worst "cut up" I've ever been victim of was in fact by another Accord! Guy decided to take the same exit as me coming off a roundabout with me in the left lane. I nearly ended up parked in his passenger seat!

Chaved the car up by tinting the fog lights yellow. People seem to see me, not look through me, interesting

Still get cut up on roundabouts though :/

Yep! I de chromed my grill, fitted yellow fogs. Makes such a difference. My driving style is pretty sedate, but my car looks aggressive. That's what you need. A couple stickers and cosmetic tweaks that make people think "uh-oh, boy racer, give him a wide berth". It's sadly, the best way to have people not ignore you and take the biscuit while driving.

Nah, my car's low-ish with big fat wheels. Nobody notices it, but it is old enough that people back off if they decide that they want to fight me for a gap in traffic.

Then again, that could be my driving style.
Grayedout's probably the same. After you've raced class 1 grasstrack, you dont take any nonsense from anyone.

Past life as a motorcycle courier always means without gaining the sixth sense (looking subconciously at who/what the person in the mirrors are looking at - or not ), you are vulnerable.

I've done my three years on the circuit without major incident

Drive on the offensive, never defensively, if you look slightly suspicious - twitchy on the steering for example, or accelerate when there really is no reason why for a split second, people take notice, even if they are looking/texting at their next meet on Grindr whist driving.

The world is also a poorer place for really quiet exhausts on vehicles btw, I fear the insurance companies are trying to ensure those that can't hear a Prius when they step into the road are fully liable for the carnage.

I have to say it happened to me quite a bit but once got the exhaust system fitted people tend to move over as soon as they hear me on motorways, unfortunately I was brought up told it's not how good a driver you are it's how good everyone around you is
