Recently I've been getting noise come from what I think is the rear drivers side wheel bearing or the brake issue below, its slowly getting louder to the point its becoming too intrusive and time to be replaced.

I see a guide on the 7th gen section on how to replace it and I was wondering if anyone could tell me if the 8th gen is the same?

Also my rear brake pads/discs are due to be changed as the drivers rear is on the wear marker, however last time this was changed was less than a year ago. The passenger side still had plenty of material left on the pad and the driver side pad was worn quite unevenly.

Could this be the sticking caliper issue I've heard about or just everything needs cleaning/lubing properly (guide pins ect). Also what is the correct disc size for the Accord 2.2 Idtec saloon as I see 2 different sizes.

To put my questions abit more easily:

1 rear noise likely brake or bearings?
2 fitment of bearing similar to 7th gen?
3 confirmation of disc size

Thanks alot

The only way is to remove the "suspect" caliper and spin the wheel, if the noise is still there then it will be the bearing, if not it's the brakes

Although sticky calipers are common

more likely to be brakes, the bearings tend to generate a "humming" noise when driving the car

yes, apart from a potential difference , on the 7th gen Tourer the rear bearing and rear brake caliper/disc is different than on the 7th gen saloon (your link is to a 7th gen saloon), but on the 8th gen it is not so clear cut, AFAIK though both types of bearing/brake are fitted to 8th gens

3 confirmation of disc size
as in 2, the disc will depend on the type of bearing
