DNF before turn 5 (of lap 1) is my prediction. Scrappy first couple of corners resulting in two or three drivers out before the end of the first lap.

maybe Hamilton will take out Vettel as Prost and Senna  :o

Handing him the title...  :lol:

I can't see him doing that. He's too proud to win in such a way. I think he'll get squeezed and come off worst, puncturing a tyre and/or damaging the car putting him out.

What?!😲 You feeling OK Slim? 🤣 I don't think you can compare Lewis fans with Diana fan-dom...

Anyway, my prediction almost came true. Trouble before turn 5 almost ended his race but he dragged the car into the points. I reckon if Seb had been a bit cooler at start, he could have held on to third and battle for second, even first.

Verstappen was rely dialled in and it would have needed something special from Vettel or Hamilton to beat him. It is a shame that the interest was what was happening at back of the pack and stole his thunder.

Great result, But next year will be even closer. If i were hamilton I would be working with the engineers to get that car so it can overtake. Have you seen how bad the Merc is when behind another car within 1 sec.

I predict a good year with Redbull/Honda in 2019!

You might be onto something Fandango, especially if Lewis goes to jail for tax avoidance  :wacko:

:lol: I doubt Lewis will go to jail. I was a little irked by all the news coverage though. Of all the people who establish the laws, set it all up, all the upper white middle class people, tory MPs, the royal family etc... and they focus on a working class black man who's made his fortune and invested in the same way as all the others, but he gets singled out... it's institutional racism in action... hey ho. Better not get too far down that rabbit hole as things will go off topic fast!

Yeah, I'd be well up for seeing Fernando in a competitive car again. The fact the Honda engine was so bad and McLaren still managed the points they got shows they've got one of the best chassis on the grid. Put a better engine in it and will really be something.

I saw a brief clip of Alonso going through that twisty Silverstonesque section in Mexico.

That car seemed to defy the laws of physics, so strap a decent engine in it, with the great man at the helm, they can`t lose!

Can`t resist a little bet;

PaddyPower have Alonso at 20/1 for drivers title.
