My cl9 has come home.but not sure what to do with it
Its been in the family 5,6 years.has no service history that i can think of ,as all servicing has been done by me.its 53 plate with over 130k miles.
Its had ep3 gear fitted ,with new clutch about 50k miles ago
And new cam chain and tensioner fitted by honda
Also has
Lpg
Reflash
Buddyclub coilovers
18" wheels
Unsure of condition.i will find out Friday.
I cant see it being worth more than £1000 if i sell it.which i think is to cheap.as its served the family well and cheap on fuel
Or strip it for parts.
Anyone got any other ideas?
I want to keep it but i already have 2 cars,a 3rd is not an option

Strip, forced induction, cage, semi slicks, brakes and thrash that biatch round a track :)

It's a difficult one Frazer because they really are such good cars. It's worth more in parts, but isn't it better to let a good car go to a good home and still serve another family well?

I'm in a very similar situation, got my cl9 back also. It's just sitting there at the minute looking depressed. I need to service it and change a couple of bits that came back with the car.
Really not sure what to do with it at the minute, a member on here has already enquired about buying it but......

Never easy. It's the same with my diesel. Loads of fresh parts because I'm particular about how my car's drive, but ultimately the car's worth very little.
I've come to.the conclusion that I'll just keep using it till I kill it.

As its a Honda, that'll mean I'll probably still be driving it in a decade.

Yes you will

I think parts since xmas have been.new battery and both rear calipers. So nothing major.but does need new front pads and tyres.
im trying to get an idea of whats parts are worth.
Reflashed ecu must be a around 175 to 200
Alloys 200
Gearbox 400 maybe
Good engine couple of hundred
Coilover 200 ish
good front bumper.splitter.grill must be worth 350 ish.as they have been discontinued

I would break and sell for spares

Ive now got the car.mot until December with 135k miles
She needs a major clean.i dont think its been cleaned once in the last 2 years.
Pulls really well with the ep3 gears and reflash.tons of torque
Mot advisorys
Front pads
Front tyres
Exhaust minor leak.
Brake pipe damaged slightly nearside rear
Rear caliper problem..replaced
Front uper ball joint

Also the radio doesn't work
Lpg positive wire needs relocating

So i can see an easy £350 in repairs.only wear and tear items.i need to get an insurance quote,as i dont really want to strip it.but i may have no choice.i will spend some time on it this weekend cleaning it up

I'd love to take the engine and drop it in my wife's FRV.

Hahaha. I like the FRV so much I keep plotting what I could do with it when she gets her next car.

K24 Turbo mum-bus!!!

I was kidding Frazer, I don't have the time (or permission) to mod the wife's car

Well.that was the plan, then i found the service history. My family have had the accord 6 years and selling it for 1500 felt like i was giving it away.considering the money that had been spent on it.also a relative was looking for a small cheap car to learn to drive in.so i sold them my work car and kept the accord.ive ordered everything it needs to yet it back in top form

It's like a happy ending to Honda fans.

Glad to see she's going to be tip-top again.

Excellent glad you kept it, think mine is staying also. As you say too much money spent...

Discs and pads will always be the best bang-for-your-buck on a road car.

I have.i got all the bits.uper arm .discs.pads.radio.exhaust.the plan was a family member needed a car to lean to drive in.so was going to have my cheap run about.but today says he doesn't want it.so no point me using the accord.

But i do need an estate.im half tempted to put it on ebay.see if i can do a straight swap for a k24 tourer
