I have a 06 2.2 tourer that i am going to put a new set of 18's on to. I currently have 16's which are 205x55. The suggestion from the tyre shop is that i go 18x225x40. Is this an acceptable size for the cl7? Just want to be sure before i leap!

That would be a 7th generation, but in thory the 40 ratio would be about right on an 18 inch tyre.

The thread below confirms another has 35s on 19s, the main question would be which wheel widths do you have on the 18 inchers and do the bolt holes work on the axles ?

The other questions would be the condition of the 16s you are discarding and when I can pick them up ........

Yeah, 225/40-18's good on a 7" to 8" rim.

Added benefit of it being a very common size, so tyres are cheap.

Thanks for the info i'm breaking with standard honda wheels and going with a Momo wheel, my accord failed its mot due to the vsa sensor dying. Sensor is all fixed now and back on so new mot in for monday and then new wheel time! Gonna keep the 16's should i ever part with it or need to replace so sorry bud no go on collection
