As per ***le .. car drives great .

But as a example

Driving along and decide to put foot down . Car will reach 2k revs and a few seconds later catch up ..

No issues if car isnt let below 2k revs on gear changes .. no gear crunches . Gears are smoth and clutch feels ok

Yet issue is as though clitch slip . But only at 2 k revs ?

Issue just seems to be under load

Hope this makes sense .

Any ideas ?

Time for egr... manifold clean ?

Thanks

Dave

Is this a diesel? Peak torque is around 2k RPM, so that's where it'll be most likely to slip under load.

It may recover when the self-adjuster takes corrective action, this can take up to a week or so.

Sounds like clutch slip rather than an egr issue

Yer
2007 2.2 diesel

All good if dont accelerate hard etc under 2 k revs

All good if keep revs above and no issues atall

Been a while now but then came the vsa issue so had that sorted first ;)

Do the revs drop and then climb again or is it a hesitation?

No revs dont drop .just get to 2k revs and needle sits there. .sounds like revs are raised as though clutch is partly in and then all goes back to normal . Again aslong as all say hard acceleration is above 2k revs there is no issue just sounds like im riding the clutch

So it's actually hesitating? In that case egr.

Hesitation in the revs which seem to hold at 2k and sounds like riding the clutch ..obviously power isnt there and then all is good and powers fine

Ill look for a write up on cleaning the egr :)

Sounds exactly like clutch slip to me!

Egr replacement or clean is easier and cheaper if it is clutch slips then revs will go up and speed won't
