I had bought an aux-in module with USB and sd card support but it only worked for few months and it started playing up. So I've bought xcarlink bluetooth module. I've installed it today and it works brilliantly but I'm not sure where to fit the module. I'm thinking of making a hole in the tray under the DVD-ROM. But before doing so I would like to know where have you guys fitted yours? Thanks as always.

Thanks for the Info, I want to install xcarlink module on my Gen 7 Accord 2.0
I ordered the ipod version Xcarlink, awaiting to purchase the bluetooth module. I am hoping it will work with stock non sat nav version stereo. it is the 6cd changer built in one.

any advice on fitting guides.

Thanks.

If it's from x carlink then it will fit. I've done the install myself on both nav and non nav units. I'm pretty sure you will need to take your head unit out as the connector needs to go on the back. It's held in with bolts and you need to take out gearstick surround, ashtray etc. Also the top cover where the hazard switch is needs to come off as it reveals screws that hold the head unit it.

Be extra gentle as you can scratch the trim quite easily when removing. I used masking tape to cover delicate areas

Thanks typer i am hoping mine is just under the surround trim which is above the ashtray section. I read and hopefully is case my cd player the port is just below and not at the back like others. Where did u put ur xcarlink. Do u install and leave inside the dash etc. The module can i get away with leaving that inside or do i need access to it. Hence fit it somewhere outside. Also kindly could anyone tell me. How i would get about getting the aux cable and the iPod cable to come out through the arm rest, is it possible and is there anything that can make it look neat.

I located mine in the armrest so there is nothing visible.
In that way i also avoided that the blue light located in AUX port of the Xcarlink shines in the cabin

Has anyone got guide that I can use.. especially to put in armrest. Thanks
