Finished installing double din. have questions i can't find answers to

Hi folks,

I just installed my new double din unit into the cubby hole space. all good bar one or two things.

1. the a/c and climate controls all still work but I get no read out on the old radio display , is this normal ? I thought I would still be able to see the fan levels and clock at least but there's nothing there. I made sure and left the little green plug on the bottom of the unit connected to the old stereo.

I found the following video of a similar install and his wiring harness has an extra blue plug to go back to the old stereo to power it, but I can't for the life of me find a harness like that.

Honda Accord in the US is very different from Honda Accord in the EU.

Also, what engine is in your car, if it's a diesel the A/C control won't work with anything else
