Hi guys,
I've just been reading through a couple of general threads and I've noticed somebody say about knocking from the driveshaft. I've recently had a new driveshaft fitted on the n/s of my 07 diesel due to ball joint failure, which pulled the shaft to pieces. I'm not sure if it was there before but since there is a knocking from the same side when I go from reversing to forward and likewise the other way. I did put it down to worn pads in the cradles but this has got me wondering now. Is this a common fault, and what's the best remedy?

Thanks

From memory, there was a Honda bulletin on this problem affecting 6th and 7th gen Accords. When the driveshaft is ***embled into the hub it is vital to adequately grease the end of the driveshaft as it's being inserted into the hub/knuckle ***embly in order to reduce the direct impact of it nudging against the wheel bearing inner side shield and so causing a 'clunk' when moving off from a standstill.
