Hi Wise ones!!!!
I'm getting dpf/erg delete and remap this week as my baby is on the drive in Limp mode.
Had it force regenerated twice, the second time lasted 2weeks.
I've a slightly slippy clutch (105k done). I'd like to use Genuine Honda parts.
IS THERE AN UPRATED/heavy duty Honda clutch for my manual idtec??
Will a new standard Honda clutch take my slight re-map of 30 brake ish??

Thanx in advance you're Amazing!
Rob

The 8th gen Accord iDTEC 180 Type S model had an uprated clutch as standard.

I've read threads where owners of 'ordinary' 8th gen diesels have fitted this clutch as an straightforward 'bolt-on' upgrade.

Type S clutch is a straight fit

Hello!

I live in Norway and have a remapped Accord 08. The clutch can't handle the torque in the higher gears now.. So I guess I have to new clutch! What would you guys recommend?

I have about 180 hp and 420 nm of torque. Will a new standard clutch do the job or should I go for a more hardcore aftermarket one? The Type S clutch is maybe a good tips, but were can I get one? The honda dealer could not find it in theyr list when I asked for it.

Please give me some advice, and maybe some names.

Ola

It seems strange that a Honda dealer couldn't find parts for a Honda vehicle, so maybe try another dealer?

Diesel Honda clutch ***emblies (including DMF) are made by LUK, so you could also try an LUK stockist?

Not much information on aftermarket iDTEC clutches here. Not sure if they are available.

Hi again! :)

I have managed to get some information. I want the 180 hp clutch of course, but I am worry that there might be a difference in the flywheel between my early 8th generation made in august 08 and the type S that came later. I think that I read something about that somewere.. Can anyone verify that the type S clutch will fit? :)

My VIN number is: JHMCU35609C203337

Type S 180 hp 2,2 diesel clutch parts number:
22105-RL1-305

Normal 150 hp 2,2 diesel clutch parts number:
22105-RL0-315

Just wanted to sat that I did fit the Type S clutch on my 150 hp car. It was bolt on with any modifications! The price of the clutch is about the same as the weaker one, therefor I can see no reason why not everyone that needs a new clutch should fit a Type S one!

The flywheel is also identical from the 150 to the Type S.

I had the clutch changed under warranty on my 2010 Type s and they said the flywheel is the same as the 150bhp cars

I was getting judder and this apparently was down to the flywheel not being able to cope with the slight increase in power and it not having an upgraded flywheel

Honda know this so changed the complete unit, clutch, flywheel etc

Apparently a £2500 service the dealer said if I’d had to pay
